Goal 4: Quality Education

Education is the key to prosperity and opens a world of opportunities, making it possible for each of us to contribute to a progressive, healthy society.

Since 1989, we’ve partnered with communities to assess early childhood efforts, identify areas for improvement then, and make those improvements a reality.

We support community funds in their pursuit of their local and global goals.

For more than a decade, we provided grant programs to business and education institutions to provide training for available skilled positions. This programming was effective, providing streamlined connections between trainers and trainees and assisting employers in continuously training their workforce as production methods changed. Once these pathways were well-established, the program was discontinued.

  • Support your local libraries, particularly the Viking Library System and Lake Agassiz Regional Library.
  • Donate your used books. The easiest way to give access to knowledge is to donate your used books to someone.
  • Promote and take free online courses. In a digital world, you have more opportunities to get access to education.
  • Visit your local school and ask what school supplies they need. Start or join a school supply drive in your community.
  • Mentor young people.
  • Volunteer to teach a Community Education course through your local school district. Those of all ages are looking for practical skills and social connections that you can provide!
