Loans Impact

We use our loan program and resources to help families, communities, and businesses in our region thrive.

For decades, West Central Initiative has been a source of capital for borrowers throughout the region. In recent years, we’ve broadened the eligibility criteria for our loan programs to encompass restaurants, bars, newspapers, and nonprofit organizations. Additionally, we’ve introduced innovative loan programs aimed at addressing specific community needs, including low-interest child care loans and financial support to both new and established small-scale farmers in our communities through the Good Food Loan Fund.

Driven by our strategic priorities and connected to the Sustainable Development Goals, loans are just one of many resources we offer to support our region’s families, communities, organizations, and businesses. Together, we can create ripples that change our communities for the better.
