Overview
The Barnesville Early Childhood Fund exists to support and enhance the quality of care provided by those who are in the process of obtaining their home-based childcare license from Clay County or their Childcare Center license from the State of Minnesota and will operate in the geographic area defined by the Barnesville school district.
Childcare Grant
Purpose: The Barnesville Early Childhood Fund exists to support and enhance the quality of care provided by those who are in the process of obtaining their home-based childcare license from Clay County or their Childcare Center license from the State of Minnesota and will operate in the geographic area defined by the Barnesville school district.
Eligibility:
● Proposed Childcare Program located in the Barnesville School District.
Deadline:
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; however applicants should be aware that funding for this program is limited and once funds are depleted the program could end without notice
Size of Grant Awards:
Grant requests from $500 to $2,500 will be considered based on need.
Eligible Uses for Grant Funds:
- Facility updates
- New and updated equipment
- Purchase of supplies
- Training for childcare staff
- Marketing expenses
- Licensing Costs
Grant Process:
This is a reimbursement-based grant. If awarded, you will be required to submit copies of your license and receipts of expenses related to the approved project to receive the grant payment.
