Extreme Weather Preparedness Workshop

Join us and Otter Tail County Emergency Management for an engaging workshop that will help you understand changing weather patterns in west central Minnesota and provide resources for communities to support extreme weather preparedness.

Patrick Waletzko will help you prepare for the 2026 severe weather season and funding opportunities aligned with county hazard mitigation plans. Dr. Heidi Roop from the Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership will share information about preparing for extreme heat and wildfire smoke and share resources that can be implemented in your community.

This workshop is for city and county staff and local elected officials that engage with this topic. Lunch will be provided for registered attendees.
