Community Conversations: Toward a Positive Rural Vision — Rural Democracy

February 22, 2024 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for this dynamic event series to foster dialogue and collaboration within the rural Minnesota community. The series is comprised of three community conversations tackling themes essential for our region’s growth and prosperity —democracy, leadership, and climate action. Through engaging discussions, we seek to inspire positive change, foster a sense of unity, and envision a vibrant and sustainable future for all. Anyone interested in participating in these conversations is invited to attend.

February 22: Rural Democracy

Engage in insightful conversations with Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon (pictured) and take a deep dive into the unique dynamics and challenges that shape the democratic processes within rural communities. This enlightening exploration of democracy in rural Minnesota will be hosted and moderated by Elizabeth Dunbar, editor of MinnPost.

Dunbar’s expertise, coupled with Secretary Simon’s wealth of knowledge, will provide participants with valuable insights into the intersection of local governance, community engagement, rural leadership, and climate action. This event serves as a crucial platform for fostering understanding, encouraging civic participation, and laying the foundation for constructive dialogue throughout the series, setting the stage for informed and empowered west central Minnesota.

Space is limited, and registration is required.
