West Central Initiative Welcomes Typhanie Schafer as Office Administrator

Typhanie Schafer has joined West Central Initiative as the new Office Administrator. Schafer brings a wealth of experience in administration, public service, and program coordination to the organization. In this role, she’ll provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth operations. 

Schafer’s professional background spans various sectors, including public history, museum management, and civic service. Before joining West Central Initiative, she was the Programs and Collections Manager at the Becker County Museum, where she managed artifact curation, historical programming, and community initiatives.  

“Typhanie’s expertise, positive attitude, and professionalism will significantly benefit our expanding team,” said West Central Initiative Chief Financial Officer Trevor Gervais. “We’re truly fortunate to welcome such a wonderful individual to our organization.”  

In her new role, Schafer will oversee key administrative functions to ensure operational efficiency, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and overseeing facility maintenance. She’ll also play a crucial role in supporting donor relations, maintaining organizational databases, and preparing reports and presentations. Schafer will assist with event coordination and other strategic initiatives, all of which support West Central Initiative’s mission to foster vibrant, resilient communities throughout west central Minnesota.

Schafer is originally from the Lake Park-Audubon area and lives in Audubon, Minnesota. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, cooking, baking, kayaking, and spending time with her family and cat, Casper.
