Overview
In late 2021, a group of energized West Central Area School District supporters embarked on a planning process to enrich the lives of our students in perpetuity. Building on the successes of the WCA Education Foundation, we recognized an opportunity to re-imagine the future of the Foundation–and how it can support students and staff into the future.
The West Central Area Education Foundation Vision 2025 Campaign Committee is raising $2.5M to support our students and community by establishing an endowed Academic Enrichment Fund and creating a Wellness Center.
STUDENTS & LEARNING
The $1M Academic Enrichment Fund—an endowed fund—will enhance curriculum, augment student excellence, and broaden student thinking—preparing them for a successful future. Earnings from the fund will supplement district budgets and bolster programs by offering intentional opportunities for students. These experiences will create noble leaders and provide essential and meaningful activities—bridging classroom environments to the real world.
SCHOOL & COMMUNITY WELL BEING
The $1.5M Wellness Center—a new 3,500 square foot classroom—will provide a space for collaboration and active learning for all activities and levels of participation. The Wellness Center will be an accessible addition to the WCA Secondary School and will be a place for students to learn and practice healthy lifestyles—preparing them to be active, healthy, and engaged citizens. The Wellness Center will be open to the community during non-student use hours.
