DESCRIPTION:West Central Initiative\, the University of Minnesota Morris\, and the Morris Model have partnered to bring 17 Rooms to our region. The 17 Rooms process is about localized actions\, insights\, and community for the Sustainable Development Goals. \nHow does it work?\nParticipants gather into working groups (or “rooms”)\, one per SDG\, to explore and advance actionable next steps relating to the SDGs. Action ideas are then shared to spot opportunities for cooperation that bubble up across rooms. The objective is to generate concrete localized actions that can be taken over the next 12-18 months to improve SDG outcomes. \nInterested in participating?\nWe are looking for a cross-section of regional partners\, including official and unofficial community and regional leaders\, educators\, nonprofit representatives\, tribal representatives\, high school and college students\, business owners\, and anyone passionate about furthering this region and planning for the future. \nLearn more and express your interest in participating at 17rooms-mn.com.

Join us at Thumper Pond Resort in Ottertail\, Minnesota\, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Remarks will begin at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served. This event is open to all\, particularly those who have had the opportunity to work alongside Nancy over the years in any capacity. Please RSVP by June 11. \nIf you’re unable to attend the event at Thumper Pond\, please consider sending your warm wishes (30 seconds or less) for a video compilation for Nancy to ashley@wcif.org by June 6. \nIn addition to the event at Thumper Pond\, the Minnesota Prenatal to Three Coalition will recognize Nancy’s retirement on Thursday\, June 13\, from 5-7 p.m. at 23 Empire Dr STE 1000 in St. Paul.
