The permitting and inspection process is one of the most important tools local governments can use to encourage more rooftop solar installations. This free training will provide communities with strategies for streamlining permitting processes and improving solar inspections. \nSince 2016\, SolSmart has helped over 500 local governments prepare for solar energy market growth. With funding from the US Department of Energy\, SolSmart provides free technical assistance to help cities\, counties\, small towns\, and regional organizations achieve clean energy goals. SolSmart has established solar best practices across local processes such as permitting\, inspection\, planning\, government operations\, community engagement\, and market development. \nThis webinar will give you an overview of the program basics and new updates to keep you on top of the solar energy transition.
