Move MN is seeking to pass a comprehensive, multi-model transportation funding package in MN in 2015. The proposed package would provide hundreds of millions of dollars a year for statewide investments in improving roads and bridges, public transportation options, and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. The bicycle and pedestrian element of the bill would be a historic and huge win for healthy and active living advocates by providing significant (tens of millions of dollars), dedicated and statewide funding each year for developing and improving the bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in MN. Even better, Safe Routes to School is specifically named in the text of the bill as a program that’s eligible for this funding! Please attend one or both of the events listed below to learn more about Move MN and what you can do to improve bicycling and pedestrian needs in your community. RSVP for both events by emailing Bethany Winkels, Move MN Field Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
